Mrs. Rosalind Brown

Mrs. Rosalind Brown brings exceptional international development and educational leadership experience to the LIS Board of Directors. Her diverse background spans United Nations operations, international business, and educational entrepreneurship across multiple African countries.

Mrs. Brown holds a Master of Arts in International Education with a specialty in International Development from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley College. This educational foundation has supported her impactful career in both public and private sectors.

From 1998 to 2012, Mrs. Brown served with the United Nations in New York as Assistant Secretary for the Board of Auditors and Financial Officer for the Department of Peace-keeping Operations, gaining invaluable experience in international organizational management. She currently serves as Director of Belife Insurance, overseeing operations in Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon.

Mrs. Brown’s passion for education is evident through her co-founding of The Vine International School in Liberia in 2013, demonstrating her commitment to providing quality education in developing nations. Her philanthropic leadership includes founding the Liberian Association of Unity and Development (1996), an NGO supporting Liberians in need while promoting educational achievement and spiritual growth. She also co-founded AGAPE, a Cameroon-based NGO that provides scholarships and safe learning environments for street children.
Mrs. Brown is married and has children.
